Read Aloud in the Sunshine

Today we took a walk to our neighborhood pond to have our read aloud for Mr. Popper's Penguins.  We enjoyed our 2 chapters in the cool sunshine outside.  The kids had a 2 mile round trip on their scooters and Juliette enjoyed her morning nap in her stroller.  It was so fun and a simple reminder of the joy I get to share with my kids.  We even got a friendly wave from a Little Elm police man :).

Joelle did step in ants while collecting some fall leaves, but she recovered well and scooted home with bare feet.
